- The School of Nursing

The school of Nursing was officially opened in September 1974 offering a diploma in General Nursing. It was the first nursing programme to be based at a community college in Jamaica.

In 1996 the College introduced a programme for the training of Assistant Nurses (EAN). This programme is offered at the Morant Bay Campus which is located at the Princess Margaret Hospital in Morant Bay, St. Thomas, Jamaica.

The programme for General Nurses is presently being offered at the baccalaureate level, and is a collaborative effort of the college and the University of the West Indies.

The Pre-Nursing programme resumed in 2004 and offers students a certificate in Practical Nursing while they complete the pre-requisites for the Bachelors of Science in Nursing programme.
